Regions of Argentina include:

Cafayate

Located in the Calchaqui Valley, this is one of the best known regions outside of Mendoza. This region grown high quality Torrontes and Malbec.

Catamarca

Located in the northwest region of Argentina, this growing region focus is currently on Torrontes, Syrah, and Malbec.

Jujuy

Located in the northern most part of Argentina, this region has some of the highest vineyards in the world. Torrents is the most successful and best known grape variety from this region.

La Rioja and Salta

Located in the Northwest region of Argentina, these regions account for only 4 percent of Argentine's wine production.

Mendoza and San Juan

Accounts for more than 90 percent of Argentine's wine production.  Grape varieties grown in these regions include Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Chardonnay.

Patagonia

This region includes some of the southern most located vineyards and primarily produces Merlot, Semillon, and Sauvignon Blanc.

San Juan

Located in the northwest  corner of Argentina, this region is the second largest wine producing region with Syrah and Malbec being the most important.
